Inspired by America Recycles Day, we took our environmentally friendly packaging to the next level. With 7 materials and 7 easy steps, you can turn our sleeves into festive napkin rings for your next upcoming gathering. Feeling crafty?
What you’ll need:
- 1-2 Freshly sleeves (depending on number of guests)
- Acrylic paint (metallic is recommended)
- Paintbrush or sponge brush
- Pencil
- Hole punch
- Scissors
- Seasonal ribbon (wired ribbon is recommended)
Instructions:
Step 1: Gently separate the Freshly sleeve to open it up and carefully peel off the nutrition sticker on the back.
Step 2: Using your acrylic paint, coat one side of the sleeve. If you prefer, you can paint both sides. Allow to dry for 5-10 minutes, then add a second coat and dry for 5-10 minutes.
Step 3: Cut off the rounded edges and separate the sleeve at the seams using scissors.
Step 4: Using one of the side panels as an outline, trace equal rectangular strips across the sleeve with a pencil. With your scissors, cut out the individual strips.
Step 5: Bend one end of a strip to the other, creating a ring.
Using your hole punch, create two equal holes where the ends overlap.
Step 6: Lace your ribbon through the holes and tie in a bow.
Cut the edges of the ribbon on an angle for decoration and straighten out the bow loops (this is where the wired ribbon comes in handy!).
Step 7: Place your finished napkin rings around your napkins. You’re all done!
